As if 2020 wasn’t already weird enough.
Marco Andretti will lead the field to green during this year’s Indianapolis 500 a week from today.
The NTT IndyCar Series veteran set the top time in Sunday’s Fast Nine Qualifying with an average speed of 231.068 mph over his four laps.
Andretti will start aside Scott Dixon and Takuma Sato when the cars take to the track on Sunday August 23 on NBC.
They will be ahead of the lone Chevrolet in fast nine qualifying in Rinus VeeKay. The next highest for the manufacturer was Josef Newgarden all the way back in 13th.
