Contradictory to the rumors that said NASCAR would release the first chunk of its 2021 schedule before the remaining race dates, Sports Business Daily is saying the entirety of the schedule will be released on Wednesday.
The potential announcement, being reported by Adam Stern, is expected to see a complete overhaul of the usual 36-race slate.
The season opener will remain at Daytona with the 2021 Daytona 500 already confirmed for February 14, 2021.
Although, a collection of new tracks will be reportedly added to the schedule.
NASCAR has confirmed that Nashville Superspeedway will be added next season, but hasn’t confirmed any other tracks that are new to the schedule.
Last week, The Athletic reported that NASCAR will head to the Circuit of the Americas next season, along with the move of the All-Star Race to Texas Motor Speedway.
Road America and a potential dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway have also been rumored additions by the Daily.
Iowa Speedway has not been mentioned among rumors.
Update: Chicagoland Speedway has issued a press release stating that it will not be on the 2021 Cup Series schedule.
The Athletic is also reporting that Kentucky Speedway will lose its race for the 2021 season.
We’ll have the full 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Schedule when it becomes available, whether that is Wednesday or a later date, on ARD as well as on our social media accounts. Keep track of the action by following us at @AlwaysRaceDay.
