While everything leading up to it was as different and chaotic as possible, the ending to Round 3 of the 2021 Kicker ArenaCross season was more of the same.

Kyle Peters swept the competition once again taking both of the 250 and 450 races and continuing his max points streak.

Behind him though, it was a completely different race then anything Starkville saw.

For starters, Gared Steinke – who had been developing a friendly rivalry with Mike Alessi left the track with an injury after going head over heels on his bike.

He was able to walk off of the track with help, however, will be in a major hole regardless on if he can make it back on track this season.

Alessi, meanwhile won the holeshot on both occasions and actually held the lead for a better chunk of the evening.

Peters was just too fast to handle in the whoops.

Regardless, though, Alessi showed some progress with the tour tonight improving to two podiums in as many chances.

If he can slow down Peters at all, the pair along with Cullin Park could salvage a fun points race. The tour returns to the track on Saturday for Round 4 from Lubbock. The action, as always, can be seen on FloRacing.
