During the first 30 laps of Wednesday night’s DIRTCar Summer Nationals Hell Tour Feature event, it looked like Bobby Pierce was untouchable.
He wasn’t even being challenged as far as the car in second having a chance to make a pass goes.
That driver in second was likely Tyler Erb – and when a caution came out with nine laps to go, he took it as his chance.
Erb stuck with Pierce during the start before offering up a plate slide jobs on the leader.
It didn’t seem like it was going to work, but then with four laps to go, Pierce made a mistake.

The No. 32 car got to far up on to the cushion of the track and killed his momentum going down the backstretch to come around to the flag stand with three laps to go.
Erb held on to the lead to get his first win of the tour, ultimately taking the points lead with it being the first race of the 26.
The Hell Tour returns to the track on Thursday at Peoria Speedway for its second event of the year, streamed live on DirtVision.com.
