Team ARD driver Carson McCarl wins Knoxville Championship

The 2020 Knoxville Championship Cup Series season officially came to an end this week when the track announced it would be canceling the remainder of the schedule.

Although, at the time of the cancellation, the current points became the final points – with Team Always Race Day driver Carson McCarl sitting atop the table.

The championship is his second-straight 360 class title at Knoxville.

McCarl blazed through the 2020 season at the famed half-mile oval, earning two feature victories in the nine feature events for the 360 class.

On top of it, McCarl set the quick time twice – which is worth as much as a win in Knoxville’s current points system – and never failed to finish outside of the top 10.

Always Race Day came on board the No. 27 car just before the 360 Knoxville Nationals, and while its unfortunate that we won’t see the car back at Knoxville this season, we look forward to watching Carson around the Midwest through the end of the 2020 year.
