Meet The Team

chris williams

Chris Williams, Publisher

Chris grew up admiring the dirt tracks of Iowa and quickly turned that passion into a job, becoming a nomadic PA announcer during his teenage and college years. He hosted a pre-race radio show for the Iowa Speedway and wrote auto-racing columns for the Des Moines Register for years, but now he’s just a diehard fan of the sport. Chris publishes CycloneFanatic.com and hosts a sports talk show daily on 1460-AM & 106.3 FM KXnO, in Des Moines, Iowa. He is also the president and owner of 712 Media. Chris, the father of two girls, is passionate about digital publishing. His goal is to turn Always Race Day into a national auto racing source in the coming years.

As early as high school, Connor began covering racing at Iowa Speedway - working for free for a sports blog out of Canada of all places. While in his final semesters at Iowa State, Chris and Connor began working on a vision to create A.R.D. and eventually took it public in April of 2020.

noah nelson

Noah Nelson, Contributor

Noah, a native Oklahoman, has been a NASCAR fan for nearly his entire life. In addition to household names like Gordon, Stewart, and Kahne, he also developed a great appreciation for the underdogs of the sport. He dreamed of racing cars as a kid, but after spending four years writing for his high school newspaper, he now hopes to make a career out of writing about them instead. In his free time, Noah enjoys writing, watching football, and playing video games with his friends. He also enjoys collecting old racing memorabilia, including shirts and diecast cars. He is currently pursuing a degree from Oklahoma State University, hoping to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in journalism eventually.
