Always Race Day

About Us

Whether it’s a dirt track race in Small Town, Iowa or the NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega, we are passionate about all forms of motorsports at Always Race Day.
Our purpose is simple: Fill an obvious void in auto racing coverage locally and become a one-stop shop for race fans nationally.
We know race fans are as passionate as they come, so that’s why every day is race day at

Our Contributors

Chris Williams

Chris grew up admiring the dirt tracks of Iowa and quickly turned that passion into a job, becoming a nomadic PA announcer during his teenage and college years.
He hosted a pre-race radio show for the Iowa Speedway and wrote auto-racing columns for the Des Moines Register for years, but now he’s just a diehard fan of the sport.
Chris publishes and hosts a sports talk show daily on 1460-AM & 106.3 FM KXnO, in Des Moines, Iowa. He is also the president and owner of 712 Media.
Chris, the father of two girls, is passionate about digital publishing. His goal is to turn Always Race Day into a national auto racing source in the coming years.

Connor Ferguson
Staff Writer

Connor grew up watching NASCAR every Sunday with his dad and cheering on Jeff Gordon in the rainbow 24 car.
Since then, his passion for the sport has grown immensely.
Connor will be graduating from Iowa State in the fall with a degree in journalism and hopes to turn Always Race Day into a full-time job.

Nic Meyer

Nic has been a racing fan his whole life but has just recently gotten into the sport at an almost-obsessive level.
When he isn’t helping folks buy and sell real estate around Des Moines, Nic can usually be found around a racetrack or near a computer screen watching racing while chatting with other fans on Twitter.
Nic and his family reside in Ankeny, Iowa.
