For the second straight weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series race came in as the most-watched sporting event on television.
The race delivered through on-track product and appeared to have an amount of fans on the grounds of the track.
Although numbers are slightly down from the second races of each of the past two seasons, the decline appears to come across the board through the TV-streaming fight. Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal reported the numbers:
.@FoxTV earned a 2.61 rating and 4.570 million viewers for Sunday's #WisePower400 at Auto Club, by far the most-watched sports event of the weekend, but down from the second points races in recent years (2021 Daytona road course got 4.75M while 2020 Vegas got 5.5M). pic.twitter.com/dcHYZERBK1
