'No wonder guys like Mark Richards are pulling off the tour,' Larson sounds off on WoO

Kyle Larson was sent to the back of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series field prior to the start of Friday night’s A-Main at the track.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series stated after the race that it was due to Larson being late to the staging for the main event. The series’ rules state the exact penalty and that’s what the series delivered Friday.

Larson started at the rear and became the star of the show, getting up to 10th-place in two laps when a yellow flag flew. His run to the win was ruined when he came down with a flat tire on the final lap.

The dirt and NASCAR star sounded off on DirtVision, saying ‘It’s no wonder that guys like Mark Richards are pulling off the tour.’

DirtVision had posted the post-race interview on Twitter following the race, but later deleted the tweet.

The interview was posted here by another user:

We caught up with Larson following the race, as well, in what was a more animated (understandably) interview.

Larson’s team said it was considering driving three and a half hours to pick up a new car for the pilot to run on Saturday, after it was torn up late.
