One year after pulling off of the racing surface with a blown engine and one lap left, Logan Schuchart made the trip up the ramp to victory lane at the Last Great Colosseum.
The Shark Racing driver picked up his first Quick Time of the year, won his heat race and the dash, and established the lead after a hard battle with Aaron Reutzel in the opening laps.
“It’s always nice to win and we haven’t had one yet this year,” Schuchart said. “Being in victory lane is awesome, but to do it at a place like this…”

Schuchart captured his first World of Outlaws win of the season on Friday, bringing Shark Racing its second as a team on the year.
It also moves the driver up to fifth in the World of Outlaws points standings through 17 races.
Is it the start of a redemption run for a driver that battled more adversity than most in 2021? He sure hopes so.
“I hope so,” Schuchart said. “I just want to get out there, be fast and win races – that’s how you (get the redemption).”
The battle with Reutzel in the opening laps ended up being the battle that won the race for the No. 1S.
Reutzel stated just that, following his third-straight podium at the track.
“There was never really a (lapped) car in the way to make it a race,” Reutzel said. “It was kind of won in those first laps.”

Kraig Kinser rounded out the podium on the night, earning his first podium finish of the year.
The series will return to the track on Saturday, with the action slated to start at 6:30 p.m. ET on DirtVision.
