Just over one month before the 106th running of the race, Helio Castroneves has damaged the chassis that won the last edition of the event.

Castroneves was able to exit the car and was OK after the incident, however it is not clear whether the Meyer Shank Racing team will be able to get the car ready for Thursday’s track time.
If the team has to move to a different chassis, fans of the No. 06 driver shouldn’t worry. The chassis Castroneves was using that won the race in 2021 finished last in 2020 before being purchased by MSR.
The two-day Indianapolis 500 test continues on Thursday. The series will be back on track next week at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.
