TKS Motorsports and driver Ryan Giles have parted ways.
The pairing embarked on running the full Knoxville Championship Cup Series schedule at the start of the 2022 season, but will separate effective immediately.
Giles made six A-Main starts out of a possible seven, and is 18th in Knoxville Cup 410 points.
“We want to thank Ryan for his time at TKS Motorsports, but I think it was best for everyone to take a step in a different direction,” Troy Renfro, owner of TKS Motorsports, said in a release. “We’re excited to welcome Tasker Phillips, who will jump in the seat for the World of Outlaws events Friday and Saturday. Hopefully we can come out swinging and put together two, great days.”
Tasker Phillips, who is 13th in the point standings, has been tabbed as a temporary replacement in the car and will drive the No. 2KS during Friday and Saturday’s Brownells Big Guns Bash at Knoxville.
Giles will run the 360 class for the remainder of the season with continued support from Albaugh LLC and the Iowa Barnstormers.
