He’s raced in the NASCAR Truck Series, the USAC Silver Crown circuit, and is full-time in a USAC Midget, but Thursday night, Buddy Kofoid arrived in World of Outlaws victory lane for the first time in his career.
The 20-year-old took home his first win of the series in his career in the first night of the three-day Huset’s High Bank Nationals.

Starting on the front row, Kofoid mustered up the strategy to get by Brock Zearfoss and take the lead with over 20 laps to go.
Being chased by James McFadden, Kofoid kept his cool. McFadden made the pass on the No. 11 car with 15 laps to go, but surrendered the spot one lap later.
Kofoid went on to win the race, with McFadden and Parker Price-Miller sharing the podium.
