Haudenschild throws helmet after WoO no-call

Sheldon Haudenschild threw his helmet onto the race track to show his displeasure with World of Outlaws officials on Saturday night.

Haudenschild came spinning to a stop with no caution flag in sight during the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Empire State Challenge at Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, New York.

The driver of the Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing No. 17 showed his dismay by walking to the frontstretch of the race track and throwing his helmet onto the racing surface while cars were on the race track.

Dylan Terry Photography posted a video on Facebook of the incident: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1672653556305129/permalink/3391927671044367/

Team co-owner Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sent a tweet mentioning Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet’s new racing series, scheduled to start in 2023, as well.

The World of Outlaws return to the track Sunday night for the finale of the Empire State Challenge.
