Will Power is back on the pole in the NTT IndyCar Series for the 67th-time in his heralded career.

The 2014 champion and Australia native tied Mario Andretti for most poles in series history with his run on Friday afternoon.

The pole finish for Power (points leader) puts himself and championship contender Marcus Ericsson (-12) on the front row for Saturday night’s race.

The rest of the top five drivers in the standings will start in the ensuing two rows, meaning the title contenders will be dueling it out up front on an oval Saturday night.

Saturday’s Bommarito Auto Group 500 is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. CT on USA Network. The starting lineup can be found below.
