Jimmie Johnson will not return to the NTT IndyCar Series in 2023 on a full-time basis, after completing his second year with Chip Ganassi Racing and his first full season in an IndyCar.
The seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion ended the season in 21st in points and had previously stated that he had no plans of retiring.
He announced the news through his social media channels:
