Kyle Larson is free to race in the Indianapolis 500.

According to a report from Racing America,  the motorsports superstar has approval from Hendrick Motorsports to seek out a ride for the 107th Indianapolis 500, being ran in 2023.

Larson has proven himself at nearly every level of auto racing, winning the Knoxville Nationals, Chili Bowl Nationals and NASCAR Cup Series championship in the same calendar year in 2021.

While racing for Chip Ganassi, he wasn’t allowed to run the race and actually had a limit on how many dirt races he could enter in any given year.

Those restrictions were loosened up as part of his deal with Hendrick Motorsports and Larson responded with his first career championship.

Now, Rick Hendrick and Jeff Gordon are allowing him that opportunity.

Fellow NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch is reportedly interested in running the race as well, and fans could very well see the pair in action in May.
