The 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series schedule has been released, with the season opener slated for February 9 at the DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.

It’s gone through a bit of a re-work for the upcoming season, but here’s the big changes as they’ve been posted.

Instead of touring the southeast part of the country following the season opener at Volusia Speedway Park, the World of Outlaws will stay in Florida and host a Sunday-Monday event that is being held the day after the AMA Supercross tour has its annual race at Daytona International Speedway (about 30 minutes away).

The series will then go to Pennsylvania for four races in what used to be the spring edition of its tour through the West Coast. This year, it will be just one trip out west later in the season.

As previously announced, the series will visit Knoxville Raceway for an extra weekend of action in April and will return for the annual Brownells Big Guns Bash in June as well as the crown jewel Knoxville Nationals in August.

A large portion of the rest of the slate is similar to year’s passed, however, the Historical Big 1 is not listed on the schedule for Kings Royal Week and the event is listed as a two-day show.

Eldora Speedway lists the event as a four-day show on its website, but the specific event details have not yet been posted.
