Four-time just won his second race in a row.
Kasey Kahne Racing’s Brad Sweet earned his second-straight victory Friday during night 1 of the World of Outlaws’ Texas Outlaw Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
“(We’re) an unbelievable team right now,” Sweet said on DirtVision. “Just making such great decisions all night long. Didn’t unload that great. I think we threw four bars at it and changed everything under the sun. Even though we went sixth-to-third in the dash, I still wasn’t that good.”
Sweet’s win comes on the new Hoosier tires being rolled out this season, as part of the change that accommodated the tire shortage for the company.
The California native commented on how important managing tires was after the race.
“We still even made some pretty big changes for the A,” Sweet said on the broadcast. “I’m just impressed with our decision making… Keeping your tires cool mean a lot. You really have to think about the race… I didn’t really want to show him a nose until I could clear him, but he slipped up there for a second.”
The series will return to the track on Saturday for the Texas Outlaw Nationals finale, with hot laps slated to start at 7:00 p.m. CT on DirtVision.
