What was a war of attrition in Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway turned into an old-fashioned moment during NASCAR’s annual throwback weekend.
After Kyle Larson tangled with Ross Chastain, his Hendrick Motorsports teammate William Byron drove away from the field to earn his series-leading third win of the year.
While Byron took over the provisional lead in the playoff points department, a lot of the conversation remained on Chastain, who has dominated the conversation in NASCAR in recent weeks.
A number of drivers had reactions to the incident after seeing it play out.
