Jake Swanson to drive Alex Bowman Racing sprint car for remainder of year

Jake Swanson’s fill-in role for Alex Bowman has been expanded to the end of the 2023 winged sprint car season.

After the NASCAR star was injured during a High Limit race in April, Bowman tabbed Swanson to run the No. 55 in his absence.

On Saturday, before the Corn Belt Clash at Knoxville Raceway, Swanson confirmed that he’d stay in the car for the remainder of the year.

Swanson will race the rest of the High Limit schedule, and the team will put together a revised run at racing avoiding conflicts with the USAC Non-Wing sprint car series slate.

Swanson will drive both cars in what is his Knoxville Raceway winged debut on Satursay night. All of the action can be seen live on FloRacing.
