Ian Madsen and KCP Racing parted ways, surprisingly, on Friday morning and the team took the past weekend off while it was finding a driver for the No. 18 car.
After revealing it on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, it appears they’ve found one in Gio Scelzi.
It’s #RACEDAY at @Lernerville with @GioScelzi!

Scelzi is one of the hottest, up-and-coming drivers in the sport – being the youngest driver to ever start a Knoxville Nationals main event.
While it isn’t confirmed in any way that Scelzi will remain with the No. 18 team this season, he will at least race with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Tuesday night.
The California native has one start with the World of Outlaws this season – that came at Knoxville where he finished 14th.
The World of Outlaws action at Lernerville Tuesday night will kick off at 5:45 p.m. CT on DirtVision.
