Austin Hill wins front end of Truck Series Doubleheader at Kansas

After taking the lead from Brett Moffitt to start the final stint of green flag laps at Kansas, Austin Hill proved he had the fastest car on the track.

The 26-year old was able to pull away from Moffitt and Grant Enfinger while the pair fought for second place.

The win is Hill’s first of the year, extending his traditional points standings lead on the field.

Not to mention, Hill is just the third NASCAR Truck Series regular to win this season, joining Enfinger and Sheldon Creed as the three drivers that are locked into the playoffs.

The regular season is nine races over, and with no signal on when the playoff cutoff will happen, these guys are fighting tooth and nail for every race.

It just happened that this one didn’t have much to force the strategy on it.

The NASCAR Truck Series will go right back to the track on Saturday morning at Kansas, kicking things off at 12:30 p.m. CT on Fox Sports 1.
