That’s the newest NASCAR Cup Series team that will be taking to the track at the start of the 2021 season.

Bubba Wallace will be piloting the entry, headed by Denny Hamlin with the help of former NBA Superstar Michael Jordan as well.

The team purchased a charter from Germain racing, who currently houses Ty Dillon’s No. 13 car – meaning that the GEICO sponsored vehicle probably won’t be back in NASCAR in 2021 either.

Dillon’s future in NASCAR remains undetermined.

Wallace, though, continues to thrive as one of the superstars of the sport as he attracts new sponsors and heads NASCAR’s fight against racial injustice.

“Bubba has shown tremendous improvement since joining the Cup Series and we believe he’s ready to take his career to a higher level,” Hamlin said in his statement. “He deserves the opportunity to compete for race wins and our team will make sure he has the resources to do just that.”

Wallace has seen struggles so far this season with Richard Petty Motorsports, but hopes that this career move will pay dividends as he moves through the top series of NASCAR.

The car number and sets of sponsors that Wallace will ride with during the 2021 season is yet to be determined, but we will have updates available here as they come on Always Race Day.
