The most recent USAC Triple Crown winner to date is headed to Bristol, but not with the late models or sprint cars.
Chris Windom will be piloting the No. 15 Rick Ware Chevrolet for the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at the Bristol Dirt Track on March 28.
According to the report from RacinBoys, Windom will have backing from his longtime sponsor NOS Energy Drink for the race.
His Paint Scheme can be seen below:

The 30-year old already has some NASCAR experience, competing in five NASCAR Truck Series races in 2017 and 2018. His best finish came with a P14 in the 2018 truck race at Eldora.
The Bristol race, however, will be his first time in a NASCAR Cup Series car.
It will take a lot for a Rick Ware Racing car to contend with the big dogs of the Cup tour, but if there is any driver that can pilot the dirt in a cup car that isn’t already a full-timer, Windom is qualified.
The USAC star has not failed to reach three USAC Sprint Car victories in the past five years and is the defending USAC Midget champion.
If any one-off driver selection can take a Rick Ware car to the front, Windom is one of them.
The race at Bristol is scheduled to start on Sunday, March 28 at 2:30 p.m. CT with the FOX televising the race.
