NASCAR, today, released its 2022 Xfinity and Truck Series schedules.
Among the changes is the return of the Truck Series to the short Indianapolis-based oval, Lucas Oil Raceway (formerly IRP).
The tour will also run a race for the first time at Sonoma, and the Xfinity Series will race at Portland – a mainstay on the IndyCar schedule.
Also confirmed for 2022, the Truck Series will race again at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, June 18. That will be slightly different from this year’s edition being a Friday race.
Of course, that also confirmed the absence of Iowa Speedway on either slate. Despite NASCAR owning the track, they have chosen not to race there.
