Chase Briscoe is officially a NASCAR winner.
In his 40th NASCAR Cup Series start, the Mitchell, Ind. native drove his Stewart-Haas No. 14 Ford to victory on Sunday at Phoenix, the first win for the team since Aric Almirola’s victory at New Hampshire last summer.
Briscoe led 101 laps in the race, setting a career high mark, and brought new sponsor Mahindra Tractors to victory lane.

This is the second first-time winner of the season for the series with Austin Cindric capturing his Daytona 500 victory in February.
When the series returns to the track, it will be one it is less familiar with. Atlanta Motor Speedway is the sight of next Sunday’s race and the track was reconfigured over the off-season to a high-banked, mini-superspeedway.
