While fans are in the stands at Darlington for NASCAR’s annual throwback weekend, they will be able to have a snack and have their fun at the same exact time.
Darlington Raceway announced today that it has signed a deal with PROOF Alcohol Ice Cream – a company based in South Carolina – to become the official ice cream of the track.
“Like Darlington Raceway, PROOF Alcohol Ice Cream is an innovative product produced in the Palmetto State,” Darlington President, Kerry Tharp said. “I have known Jenn Randall-Collins since she was a student-athlete at the University of South Carolina, so we are proud to welcome her company based in Columbia, South Carolina as the Official Ice Cream of the track Too Tough To Tame.”
The alcohol ice cream will welcome fans back as the grandstands start to look a little more normal as the year 2021 progresses.
The Company was founded by former South Carolina Women’s Basketball player Jenn Randall-Collins and the recipes derive from a Kentucky-based recipe that had been passed along by families.
Fans will have three days at the track for the race weekend beginning on Friday, May 7 with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
