Two former NASCAR champions and the defending Cup Series title winner will be on the track for an extra amount of time next week.
Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski and Chase Elliott will be running laps at Circuit of the Americas in a tire test for Goodyear.
The test is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2 and will give the three manufacturers as well as the tire supplier a look at what to expect for the tour’s first race at the track, slated for May 23.
The session is not open to the public.
The track also announced the naming rights for both the Cup Series and Xfinity Series’ races have been determined.
Sunday, May 23’s Cup Series race will be titled the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix.
Saturday, May 22’s Xfinity Series event will be called the Pit Boss 250. The truck series, also scheduled to race that Saturday at C.O.T.A. does not yet have a title sponsor.
