Jimmie Johnson officially announced his partial ownership stake in the Petty GMS NASCAR Cup Series team on Friday, confirming his participance in the Daytona 500 as well.
The deal, first reported by the Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi, includes a limited schedule for Johnson during the season, but does not specify on a specific number of races that Johnson plans to run.
