Kaulig Racing’s appeal to the recent penalties the organization received regarding louvers on its race cars has came back from the appeals panel.
All of the organization’s penalties remain intact, except the original 100-point penalty for the issue has been reduced to 75 points.
Kaulig Racing is still receiving a $100,000 fine, the four-week crew chief suspension, and 10 playoff points for the penalty.
In a similar penalty appeal, Hendrick Motorsports faced the same penalties up front, but successfully got all of its points penalties removed.
The appeals panel for the Kaulig Racing penalty and the Hendrick Motorsports penalty were made out of two, different three-person groups.
Kaulig Racing is set to compete in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Dirt with late model star Jonathan Davenport wheeling the No. 13, and A.J. Allmendinger & Justin Haley in their usual No. 16 and No. 31 Chevrolets.
