Kyle Larson is starting to heat up.

The driver of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet on Sunday’s captured the latest victory to his motorsports career, winning Sunday’s NOCO 400 at Martinsville Speedway.

“Huge congratulations to this whole 5 team at Hendrick Motorsports,” Larson said on the Fox Sports 1 broadcast. “I feel like Cliff and everybody did a great job on pit road. We made the right calls, did the right things on pit stops, and then it all kind of worked out for me there at the end.”

The win was Larson’s third victory in the last three weeks, as he earned another NASCAR win at Richmond on top of capturing the win in his own dirt late model challenge at Bulls Gap before the Bristol Dirt weekend.

It came as a surprise to Larson, who had never won at the track, because he doesn’t think it aligns with his driving style well.

“I would have never thought I’d win at Martinsville,” Larson said. “This place has been so tough on me – it just does not suit my driving style at all. I like to charge the center, I like to roll momentum, and that’s just not what this place is like.”

Nonetheless, the No. 5 returned to the winner’s circle, and Larson is officially clinched into the NASCAR Playoffs.

NASCAR will be back on Sunday, April 23 for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. The race is set to kick off at 2:00 p.m. CT on FOX.
