NASCAR announced this afternoon that its new car would be unveiled during an online-only event on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. CT.
The new look cars have gone through testing at different tracks throughout this season as well as last year after the pandemic break.
Tyler Reddick tested the car at Darlington on Wednesday.
The series was originally supposed to put the car out in 2021, however, due to the pandemic decided to delay things until its debut for the 2022 season.
Each manufacturer will have its own distinct look, which will be seen on the fifth.
The NASCAR Cup Series will return to the track on Saturday as it takes to Martinsville for the track’s first night race.
