According to a report from The Athletic, NASCAR’s All-Star Race is on the move again.
The race, which moved away from Charlotte for the first time in 30 years this season, will be heading to Texas Motor Speedway for its 2021 date.
In return, Texas will lose a regular-season date because of the switch, which opens up the opportunity for NASCAR to take the series to a new road course in the Circuit of the Americas.
The track currently hosts the United States’ lone Formula 1 race of the year and is now reportedly a part of the large schedule overhaul that NASCAR is doing for 2021.
We’ll report further NASCAR schedule news as it comes, however, NASCAR has came out and said that it will not be releasing the entirety of the 2021 schedule at one time due to the COVID-19 crisis.
So, expect for at least the first chunk of races to be released officially ahead of this prior to the large bulk of the schedule.
The only date released so far confirms that NASCAR will hold its annual Daytona 500 on February 14, 2021.
We’ll have more details on this story as they become available here and on our social media channels at Always Race Day.
