Nick Sanchez has given Rev Racing its first ever ARCA national tour championship, finishing off his run to the title today with a top 10 finish at Toledo.

The Miami, Fla. native finished the year with three wins, nine top 5’s and 16 top 10’s in the 20-race season for the team, owned by former Dale Earnhardt Inc. president Max Siegel.

Sanchez celebrated wins at Talladega, Kansas and Michigan – which came as the first of a string of top-5 runs that helped him run down the championship trophy.

Daniel Dye, driving for GMS Racing, earned rookie of the year honors.

Meanwhile, Iowa native Sammy Smith took home the win on Saturday, adding to his trophy collection that includes this year’s ARCA East title as well as the SiouxChief Showdown championship.

The sanctioning body still has a pair of ARCA West events on the schedule before the calendar year ends, racing at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 14 and at Phoenix November 4.
