Ross Chastain got pushed out of the lead by AJ Allmendinger during the final lap of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas.
It looked like it might be over, but Chastain got him back, dumping Allmendinger and collecting Alex Bowman along with him to capture his first career victory at NASCAR’s top level.

Chastain becomes the third, first-time winner in the series this season and sixth different victor to open up the year.
This is also Team Trackhouse’s first win in the history of the organization.
