Sheldon Creed takes wreckfest of truck race at Darlington

Amidst the smoke and the banged bumpers, Sheldon Creed was burning down the tires at Darlington on Friday night.

The defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion captured his first win of the season at Darlington Speedway on Friday night, during NASCAR’s annual throwback weekend.

The driver of the No. 2 overcame a plethora of wrecks to come out on top in his Jason Leffler throwback car.

While Creed earned his first win, Ben Rhodes found himself with another podium finish this season – after winning the first two races of the year.

Carson Hocevar gave it all he had going into the final turn of the penultimate lap, but was also left without a trip to victory lane.

The NASCAR Truck Series returns to the track on May 22 at Circuit of the Americas.
