n what may have been one of the biggest upsets of the season, the field in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega stayed mostly intact and finished the race on a 88-lap green flag run.

In what may have been an even larger upset, Ross Chastain came home the winner.

Chastain essentially kept his car straight and let other drivers do the work for him, driving the car on the inside line home to the win.

The win is Chastain’s second in his NASCAR Cup Series career, as well as his second in the last five races of the year.

Austin Dillon took home the runner-up position in front of Kyle Busch. Kyle Larson’s first superspeedway win again eludes him, as he runs fourth.

The series returns to the track for its 11th race of the season next Sunday, with a 2:00 p.m. date with the Monster Mile at Dover. Fans can watch the race on Fox Sports 1.
