Ty Dillon will race full-time in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season for the Chevrolet-based Spire Motorsports team in the No. 77 entry.
Running with part-time drivers in 2022, the car finished P4 at Daytona in its best finish this season.
“There’s an energy about where they’re going with this program,” Dillon said in the press conference on Tuesday. “I’m so excited for this opportunity. I feel the best is yet to come with this team.”
Dillon will join Corey LaJoie at the team, which will run two full-time drivers for the first time since its inception into the Cup Series.
Crew chief Kevin Bellicourt will remain with the No. 77 and head Dillon’s pit crew. Ryan Sparks will continue as the crew chief for LaJoie.
