Brandon Sheppard finally got into victory lane.
The driver of the Rocket Chassis house car Valvoline No. 1 got his first win of the season on Friday night during the World of Outlaws Late Models Dairyland Showdown at Mississippi Thunder Speedway.
Already the points leader in the series, Sheppard has built his lead over the last three weeks of the season, capitalizing on the run of bad luck had by Kyle Strickler.
Chris Madden ended up with another strong finish in fifth, while Bobby Pierce followed up his second World of Outlaws win with a strong P6.
The late models return to the track on Saturday for another date with the Dairyland Showdown. Hot laps are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and the action will be streamed live on DirtVision.
