On a night where Kyle Larson showcased his dominance in a sprint car, Brandon Sheppard was able to put on a similar display.

The driver of the Rocket1 Chassis car wheeled to his 10th victory of the World of Outlaws Late Model season to further extend his nearly 200-point lead in the standings.

Ricky Weiss started the race at the head of the pack for the second-straight night, and it looked like if he could weave his way through lapped traffic, he would finally break the drought and make it back to victory lane.

However, Sheppard stalked Weiss like a patient animal, waiting to jump at the right opportunity to take the lead.

That opportunity came on lap 31, when Sheppard took to the outside line while Weiss was being held up by a lapped car running the inside.

Weiss would give chase, but got caught up again in lapped traffic and eventually surrendered third to Cade Dillard.

The trio put on a good show, and it got close near the end, but ultimately Sheppard would do his thing and finish off a dominant performance.

Something he’s no stranger to doing this season.

The Outlaws will take the weekend off before returning to action in Iowa at Davenport Speedway on Tuesday, July 28.
