Brian Brown called Carson Macedo and his Jason Johnson Racing team one of the best sprint car teams out there right now after running second to him twice in the same week at Eldora.
If there’s a competitor that knows what he’s talking about out there, too, Brown would be a guy to listen to.
As the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series continues to roll through its ‘Month of Money,’ Macedo is climbing the ground in the points standings going into Tuesday night’s Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway.
The driver of the Jason Johnson Racing No. 41 has surpassed David Gravel in the series points standings to take sole possession of second after winning two of the three points races a week ago.
Macedo couldn’t cash in on a $175,000 check in Ohio, but will get another chance on Tuesday. The Silver Cup will pay out $25,000 to its eventual winner in what is sure to be another exciting edition of the Pennsylvania Posse against the World of Outlaws.
After all, the Outlaws have already started poking some fun.

Pennsylvania locals look to break a two-year drought that stretches back to 2019 for the last time a Posse driver took down the Outlaws.
They’ll have to go through a strong field of contenders, too.
Gravel won the Silver Cup in 2019 and Donny Schatz rolls in as the defending champion.
The week could see the standings on tour close up a bit as well. Brad Sweet has never won a Silver Cup in his career and – if he even has a considered weakness – doesn’t always run as strongly in PA.
The action kicks off on Tuesday night at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania and can be seen, like every World of Outlaws event, on DirtVision.com.
