California native and up-and-coming sprint car driver Corey Day will compete full-time with High Limit Racing in the Jason Meyers Racing No. 14 car. Meyers is a two-time World of Outlaws champion.
The team and Day have been paired together for the majority of his 410 sprint car career and will now look to tackle the national tour together in 2024.
Day originally committed to racing the tour’s Midweek Money Series throughout the year, but those plans changed between the original announcement and Friday.
The move has been made possible between a partnership from Jason Meyers Racing, Sander Engineering, Four C’s Construction, Meyers Constructors and Clauson-Marshall Racing & Driven to Save Lives.
“Corey is developing into one the finest race car drivers in the world right in front of our eyes, and I could not be more proud of him,” Meyers said in a FloRacing press release. “The effort that Corey has put into growing mentally and physically in 2023 in combination with the teamwork demonstrated between Corey, Shane Bowers, and the rest of the team has delivered remarkable results. I am excited to elevate our team in 2024 to the national level.”
Sander Engineering and Four C’s Construction will serve as the primary sponsors, like they were last season on the No. 14. Driven2SaveLives and Clauson Marshall Racing have also signed on for a primary spot on the car for 25 races in 2024.
“I am thankful to have this opportunity to race with Jason and Preston, who are like my uncles and have supported me throughout my racing career along with my parents,” Day said in a release. “Jason has assembled a great team, and I am fortunate to have this opportunity to chase my dream surrounded by people that support me and want me to be successful.”
The team becomes the ninth to commit to a full-time season with the series in 2024. Kasey Kahne Racing will field cars for both Kahne and five-time World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet. Shark Racing split its pair entries between the World of Outlaws and High Limit tours, with Jacob Allen running with High Limit.
Other teams committed to a full-time year include Rico Abreu, Rudeen Racing’s Zeb Wise, Ridge & Sons Racing’s Cory Eliason, Buch Motorsports’ Justin Peck and Crouch Motorsports’ Brenham Crouch.
