Donny Schatz had all of the speed he is accustomed to having when the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series makes its annual World Finals stop at Charlotte Friday.
The 10-time series champion earned his 306th career World of Outlaws win – his 13th at the Dirt Track at Charlotte.
Meanwhile, Brad Sweet was two spots behind him, ending his night with a podium run while David Gravel finished the race in 10th.
This means Sweet can clinch a fourth-straight championship with any finish of 18th or better on Saturday night, no matter where Gravel finishes.
The final race of the season goes down on Saturday at Charlotte, with the action set to begin at 4:00 p.m. CT on DirtVision.
