In his final season of competition in his 48-year career behind the wheel of a sprint car Jac Haudenschild is stepping behind the wheel of the No. 24.
He’ll be taking the track for Rico Abreu Racing, piloting the fan favorite’s car at tracks to be announced at a later date.
The news comes a day after Abreu sent out a seemingly joking tweet about releasing himself as the driver of the car, although it looks as though Haudenschild will have the car for a majority of the season.
NEWS: Effective immediately, Rico Abreu has been released from Rico Abreu Racing and is seeking new opportunities.

There’s no word as to when Abreu, nor his car will race next, but he does not appear on the Wild Wing Shootout entry list.
The World of Outlaws and Ollie’s All Star Circuit of Champions tours kick off in the upcoming weeks.
