The year got off to a different start in 2021 for Australia native James McFadden, but it didn’t stop him from taking home the Rookie of the Year award for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
With COVID-19 protocols still a major player in his home country, McFadden couldn’t make it to the United States for the first races of the season, due to the birth of his baby.
The talented pilot of the Kasey Kahne Racing No. 9 car, however, received extenuating circumstance points during his absence and only missed six races across the entire season.
Once in the country and comfortable back behind the wheel of the car, McFadden got off to a roaring start.
In his first seven starts on the season, McFadden hit three podiums, six top 10’s and a win at Kokomo Speedway to solidify his spot with the toughest sprint car tour in the world.
McFadden ended his first full-season with the World of Outlaws with a career-high two victories and 51 top 10’s through 71 races.
Always Race Day congratulates James McFadden on winning the 2021 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year award.
