Jimmie Johnson tweets photo looking at an Alex Bowman Racing sprint car

Jimmie Johnson officially retired from full-time competition in the NTT IndyCar Series on Monday, but mentioned that he is taking time to decide what his next step was in his retirement video that he released on his YouTube channel.

On Tuesday, Johnson posted a photo of himself looking at the cockpit of an Alex Bowman Racing 410 sprint car, used in the popular World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

Here, Johnson is pictured with Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman with the caption, “We’re up to something.”

Could Johnson be testing and/or making his debut in the future in a sprint car? Only time will tell.

However, Bowman also posted a tweet stating an announcement would come later today.

ARD will have more updates as they become available.
