Kyle Larson battled nearly every driver that the state of Pennsylvania had to offer.

Anyone that a sprint car fan could think of to try and upset the No. 57 during Sunday night’s Bob Weickert Memorial at Port Royal.

Lance Dewease, Anthony Macri, Jacob Allen, and Danny Dietrich… all raced at the front of the pack as the 30-lap feature went on.

None could touch Larson.

“I saw Lance (Dewease) get up behind me and I figured he was running a different line than me,” Larson said on the FloRacing broadcast after the race. “I figured as long as I ran hard enough and didn’t make a mistake, I was going to be okay.”

The win is latest to come in a stretch that rivals some of the greatest sprint car drivers of all time.

This one being his 25th of the season, and fifth-straight win in a race he has entered.

“We’ve been able to win a lot again,” Larson said on victory lane on FloRacing. “We’re on a pretty good streak here.”

Larson’s driver, Carson Macedo, started things off from the front row next to Kerry Madsen, immediately catching the lead on the backstretch and setting the pace.

Macedo would hold the spot before being chased down by Aaron Reutzel. Once Reutzel got to him though, he threw two massive slide jobs trying to secure the lead spot.

It allowed Larson to join the shuffle and threaten for the lead, splitting the pair of drivers coming out of turn two and getting past Macedo going into turn three.

In the process, Macedo got into the wall and was the first of a plethora of drivers to pull out of the race with issues in a war of tire attrition.

Both Madsen as well as Sheldon Haudenschild were sent to the back after shredding tires.

Reutzel later had an issue with the right rear axel, and would pull off the track from second.

It wasn’t going to matter, though. The only chance that there was resulting in Larson not winning the race, was Reutzel getting him in lapped traffic.

Once the cautions started flying, that was that, and Larson leaves the track with yet another trophy for his trailer.

The Ollie’s All Star Circuit of Champions will head to the Midwest to continue their season, with the tour’s next appearance coming at Jacksonville Speedway in Illinois on Friday.
