Lapped cars delayed his eventual pull-away from the rest of the field, but Kyle Larson found a way to do it again.

The star of virtually any series he’s raced in during the 2020 season won Sunday’s Bettenhausen 100 USAC Silver Crown race that took place at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

It was the second start Larson had with the famed Silver Crown tour this year and it produced his second win as well.

Larson overcame a plethora of lapped cars late in the race to hold off a charge from World of Outlaws Sprint Cars star David Gravel, maintaining his lead and making the trip to the frontstretch after the race.

The win is just the latest on a long list of accomplishments that Larson has earned over the racing season during 2020.

He’s now one of 15 drivers to win on each of the 1-mile tracks the Silver Crown tour visits – joining a list with the likes of A.J. FoytMario Andretti, and Al Unser.

Rumors are that we might not see him back in dirt racing full time in 2021, but he’s putting on a show with the dates he has left.
