The invaders are 2-0.

Kyle Strickler was able to steal one from the World of Outlaws Late Model regulars in Florida on Saturday night following in the foot steps of Kyle Bronson, who won on Night 1 of the Sunshine Nationals on Thursday.

Friday’s night of racing was rained out, but the Outlaws regulars were robbed of a win once again.

Scott Bloomquist was the first runner-up on Saturday in one of his best finishes of the past two seasons, right ahead of Darrell Lanigan to round out the podium.

For the second night in a row to start the season, too, Ricky Weiss out-ran defending series champion Brandon Sheppard – which will pay dividends as he tries to start the year off right under his own chassis.

Defending Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series series champion Jimmy Owens rounded out the top five.

The World of Outlaws Late Model tour will return to the track on Wednesday, February 10 returning to Volusia Speedway Park for the first of four straight DIRTCar Nationals nights.
