Thursday night at the Jackson Nationals didn’t have a win in its cards for Logan Schuchart, but he at least left with the points lead.

The defending event champion took home a runner-up finish to Kerry Madsen in the first feature race of the weekend to cap off the best night of anyone (by cumulative points) in the field.

Schuchart takes a one-point lead in the points into Friday and would lock himself into the King of the Hill on Saturday if Friday’s racing didn’t happen.

The top four in points would join him while the rest of the 36-car field would head to one of four qualifying races to set up the Jackson Nationals starting lineup.

The four Qualifier winners will advance also to the King of the Hill.

David Gravel, Brad Sweet, and James McFadden would currently join Schuchart in the King of the Hill.

Kerry Madsen would currently have to win his qualifier to advance to the top 8 shuffle-style event on Saturday.

Friday’s action is scheduled to kick off with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. CT. All of the action, as always, can be seen live on DirtVision.
